This item is a Japanese Satsuma earthenware dish, likely from the Meiji period (1880–1920). 

It features a hand-painted scene of a bird among foliage, characterized by intricate polychrome enamels and extensive gold outlining. 

The piece has a distinct ivory-colored, crackled glaze (crazing), typical of Satsuma pottery.
